About 90% of my developers are on Mac (well, really Linux on a Mac). I would love to start using the Contributor tool to do reviews and get content from them, but the Windows thing would be a deal-breaker. I have moved all of my end-user docs into Flare, but I still have most of the other stuff (API, Install, Release Notes) in Word so that they can add/modify that content. I HATE Word with a passion and I need to get it out of there.
Does anyone have experience with this in a non-Windows dev group??

Re: Non-Windows usage?
You really only have one option: if your developers virtualize Windows on the Mac (many people do, especially businesses), you can have them use virtual Windows to run the software.
Otherwise, you'll have to go to MadCap and submit a feature request for a version of Contributor that works on non-Windows platforms (they might be able to do it using Mono).
