Replcement for chm file

We're using html 5 output as our main output but we're still using chm files for our archives (1 file only is easier). Are there any other output (not print) that offers this feature?

I vaguely recall an output format that writes everything into one HTML file. The only other option would be PDF...but you may consider this "print".

Guess i'm still stucked with good old chm!

The only other idea I have is to build web output and then 7zip everything together before archiving. Not sure as to what an archived file will be used. Alternatively, zip up the project. In the end you will also deal with only one file.
