Getting "Failed to run command 'Save'" errors constantly
Getting "Failed to run command 'Save'" errors constantly
I'm evaluating both Madcap Mimic and some of the competition for a project my company is running and the biggest deal breaker for me is the constant "Failed to run command 'Save'" error messages I get. This happens when I try and save my project and makes it quite unusable. I see that users of Flare have previously seen this type of issue. Any insights as to what might remedy this?

Not really sound advice, but try running Mimic with admin privileges and see if that makes a difference.
Also check if you have the latest .NET runtime installed. Which OS are you using?

Just tried Admin access to no avail. I'm running Windows 7.

A couple of things to try as a long shot.
Is this content under source control, or read-only for some other reason? Is there any chance that the error is correctly saying the thing you are trying to save is read-only or not checked out?
Also, if you have anti-virus checking enabled, turn it off for your project folder and all files below it.
