I've been wrestling with the Master Page Layout in Flare and I can't get it to do what I think is a very simple task. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious. The page header for our manuals simply consists of the name of the user manual and our company logo. On odd pages, the manual name is flush left against the page while the logo flush right; on even pages it's reversed. The body text is indented an inch, so the heading is outdented compared to the body text. My issues:
1. Flare does not seem to have the concept of tabs like Word, where I would simply set a right flush tab to do my left align-right align. I have resorted to inserting an invisible table to force the elements to line up. Is there a more graceful way to do this?
2. In my Master Page Layout, the heading looks correct, but when I generate a Word document, Flare insists on lining up the heading with the body rather than flush against the page.
3. The logo graphic does not appear in the Word output either--they appear as grey boxes with a red 'x'. However the logo does appear in the Master Page Layout and when viewing a topic in Print layout mode.
Oddly enough, none of these problems occur when I generate a PDF. Are these just more unavoidable problems with the Word output?
Thanks.
