Hi there,
I need to customize the background colour/gradient of the navigation frame in my webhelp output. Is there a way to do this?
I've included a screenshot to indicate the area I'm talking about (not sure if I've used the right terminology).
Cheers,
P

Re: Customizing the navigation frame background
Look in the skin editor, under styles. I don't have Flare running at the moment, but I believe one of those categories of styles gives you the option to change the background of the nav pane.

That's where I've been searching...also in the Help topic regarding these settings. I haven't found anythig yet. If anyone knows which setting it is let me know.

Re: Customizing the navigation frame background
Skin Editor > Styles > Frame > AccordionTOC. Doesn't look like you can do gradients or images, just solid colors. You could do a different color for each accordion, though, if you want.

Re: Customizing the navigation frame background
Thanks. That's too bad. I did see that option but because it can only do a solid colour it's not what I was looking for. Good to know that you can't do it.

Re: Customizing the navigation frame background
Don't know whether that works, but:
- Change sth at the relevant style, let's say the background-color - in the Flare stylesheet editor.
- Open your stylesheet with the text editor
- Find the changed style
- Change "background-color" to "background-image" and add the path to your image - you'll have to find the correct syntax for background-image opn your own, I'm afraid.
I've been successful a few times assigning styles in the text editor that weren't given in the stylesheet editor before that detour.

Re: Customizing the navigation frame background
That's a good idea! I'm going to try it.
Thanks for the tip!
