Hi,
I have a quick question. What is the structure for a URL to open a topic in a Browse Sequence ... not the main TOC on a WebHelp Plus help system.
The topic I'm linking to is the first topic on the browse sequence and is not used in the main help system.
Any thoughts or pointers appreciated!!
Regards, Bruce

I don't think the URL for CSH links allow you to open the help with a specific accordion open; it'll just open with either the TOC or Search displayed (for search links).
You could have a second skin which only has the Browse sequence accordion (and assign that skin to the topic's identifier in the alias editor), but that'd be a bit of a kludge - presumably you'd still want your TOC, etc. available.

Hi,
Many thanks for the feedback. I thought this might be the case. I'll submit an enhancement request.
I also like your idea about a separate skin ... I'll think about this..

I've done something similar as Dave suggested. In our app under the Help menu we had items like "Contents", "Index", "Glossary", and "Search help". The idea that each of those would go to the same help but would show the relevant accordion tab. The only way I could figure out to do it was to create multiple skins and change the default tab of each skin to the appropriate tab. For instance, the default skin had the TOC as the default view, the index skin had the index set as the default view, the glossary skin had the glossary set as the default view, and so on. In our app, we used CSH calls for each link, and each CSH call was appended with the appropriate skin name.
It is a bit of a kluge, because if we changed something in the default skin then we'd have to change all the others, or would have to delete them then recreate them by copying the default skin and changing the default view again. But it works until MadCap specifies a way to call a specific accordion tab.

Hi,
Thanks very much!!! I'll give the skin a try ... I forgot that the skin was part of the URL.

Sorry, I forgot you can set a default tab in the skin; scratch my comment about the 2nd skin only having the browse sequence, it could have all the tabs.
