Deleting Word file from Word import also deletes images

Post by ccardimon »

I need to (1) add a new Word file to my existing Word import file, and (2) delete an older Word file that I don't want to reimport.

Not doing the reimport of the older Word file somehow also deletes EVERY image associated with that Word doc.

The text stays the same, but the image links come in blank.

In Contents/Resources/Images, the images associated with the Word file I chose not to reimport and deleted from the Word import file, are deleted.

What am I missing here? What am I doing incorrectly?

I'm WIDE open here.

It's been a really long time since I imported anything from Word, but iirc there is an option in the import definition to maintain a link to the original document. If you turn that option off, the the content should become "normal" Flare content.

Or you could delete the import definition altogether - that oughta do it  (Just be sure to make a backup of the project first before you delete anything.)
Until next time....

It's worth a shot. Thank you.
