Specify different masterpage for popup

Post by kittim »

My popups are using the masterpage that i have set for my project. I would like to specify a different masterpage, or even no masterpage for the popups but seem to be unable to. I have created a masterpage to use for popups and have:
1. created a hyperlink and assigned the popup style
2. in the mc-master-page in the popup style properties as the popup masterpage

It still uses the main masterpage that i am using for my project.

Appreciate any help you can give me. I am not very familiar with Flare so forgive me if these are stupid questions.
THanks...

Hi Kittim,

Have you set a default masterpage against your primary target?

If so, I believe that this will over-ride any other masterpages that are set elsewhere.
This is found in:

Project Organiser - Targets - Basic screen, and also under the 'Advanced' section'.

If these are left to default, then different master pages can be assigned to the pop-ups.

Kind Regards

No, that's wrong actually.
The master page setting in the target (Advanced tab) does not override all your master pages; it will only be applied to topics that don't have a master page set.

For example, say you had the following styles:

Code: Select all

html
{

}

html.popup
{
	mc-master-page: url('../MasterPages/Popup.flmsp');
}

If you set a master page in the target, it would just be applied to 'normal' topics, not those with the popup class.

I don't follow what you mean there; which properties are you applying to which styles?

To control the master page used by an individual topic, you need to create an html class with the mc-master-page property set, and then apply that class to the topic.
