does anyone know what's in store in Flare 6

I run WebHelp from Apache and it works perfectly fine. The only issues I ever came across are with IE, but those were entirely browser-based. IE is just not up to the task of rendering web pages.
Which problems did you encounter?

MadCap never confirmed a specific date and never published a feature list before the release went out. I don't think they changed that approach. You have to wait until they publish it, whenever that may be.

I was informed this week that it was within "a month or two." No specific date was given but clearly getting very close.

Flare 6 to work with Visual SourceSafe 6 would be a welcomed addition!

Sadly, the four open issues we have reported were not fixed in Flare 6.
Time to bug support, I guess.

But some changes are impressive. Created a PDF using V5 and the size was 7MB. Added more content and graphics and built with V6, size is now 1MB.

Glad the PDF issue is fixed (with v5 cretaing extra files and folders). Yay.

I was hoping a one file output of dotnet was on the cards but alas, no.

That said --- a lot of things seemed to be have been streamlined (especially inserting images). Haven't investigated them all but for the moment, good job MC.
