Reimporting Frame with Paragraph changes

I had to add a new paragraph style to my Frame project (copied and modified an existing style). The style change is not getting picked up when I reimport to Flare. I think I modified the Stylesheet (again, copied and modified an existing style) and mapped the new Frame style to the new Flare style. Reimport, rebuild, still the style isn't getting picked up. The text appears correctly (it's an autonumber hanging-paragraph thingie) but the fonts are not being changed to match the font specified by the FM/Flare style.

I still don't understand the Import FrameMaker Stylesheet dialog - what exactly does Preserve/Don't preserve mean? Should I be preserving if I make a change to the FM and the reimport? What does that mean for my existing Stylesheet?
