Any ideas?
I build a HTML target (no errors)
I view the target
I close the chm window
I click Close to exit the Flare build report window
I click view primary (or r-click > View from the Targets folder)
I get this message:
As far as I can see the only process that runs with the chm viewer open is hh.exe. This is not running when I get the error message in Flare.

Unable to view chm - claims it's already open
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Does the file exist in that location? If yes, is it write protected? If not, can you exclude that folder from real-time virus scanning and try again? Does that still happen after a reboot?

Thanks, Ramon.
Yes, it was rendered read-only by source control.
I was a bit too quick to the forum that time.

Happens to me all the time. I write a post or email, and either while doing that or shortly after I figure out what is going on. I wonder why you have the CHM in source control. It is not a source file.

I don't know about Andrew, but I have my .chm files in Source Control in a different location than the source files because I have to put them in the folder where the company software is kept within source control.

Source control should only include sources. I doubt that the binaries of the application are in source control. Everyone can do whatever works best with for their situation, but I never really understood the need of bloating source control and wasting resources with something that is easily recreated. Due to the moronic way of Flare handling command line compiles there may be practical reasons (nobody installs a fully licensed app on a build box just to compile something), but the less non-source files are in source control the better it is.

Re: Unable to view chm - claims it's already open
Files used as the source for the application build are picked up from the Perforce server; they are therefore revision-dependent and store the revision history of each chm build and each application build. This includes the documentation files: readme, manuals, diagrams etc.
