List-of proxy generates additional characters

This is, how my PDF generated list of figures looks like:

Have you ever experienced this behaviour? How to get rid of the additional characters?
Any idea may help

To answer and close this request:
The List-of proxy generates its results into a table. So what i interpreted as characters of a missing font on my machine emerged as table cells formatted with the td style class. And i had defined borders for my table cells...
