My colleague wanted to work locally on a Flare project, so she went out on the share, copied the project, then saved it locally on her laptop.
Everything worked. Edit, preview, compile -- everything was okay.
When she got done working locally she saved the project back out onto the share. Same location, same folder names (she had renamed the original folder _old).
So far so good. She can open the project, and edit topics.
But, when she clicks preview on an open topic she gets the following error: "failed to compile document: failed to load glossary file". And when she clicks Project Organizer she gets the following error: "failed to run command 'refresh.' Exception: Access to path <fully qualified network path displays here> is denied."
This is with Flare 5.0.1.
Thoughts?

Re: failed to compile / failed to run
Has she tried to access the program after a fresh reboot?

Re: failed to compile / failed to run
Hey--
Yes. She has rebooted and tried again. No dice.
<edit>
An important additional piece of info that has come to hand - the files were moved between laptop and share using Windows Briefcase. I've not used it myself, but it sounds like the "Briefcase" automatically syncs with the share. Has anyone got experience using the Windows Briefcase feature? Is it possible it's the culprit (a Google search returned nothing of note)?

Hi gfranceschini,
Welcome to the forums.
I'd avoid using the Windows briefcase if possible. Microsofoft has a thing called sync toy that does a better job of synchronising files. The briefcase does funny things with databases (creates replicas) while Synctoy creates proper copies...
I suspect the briefcase. Maybe its changed a relative path or something... Try manually copying the files from the share to a local directory and see if it makes any difference.

Hey,
Many thanks for the feedback. We're going to try a few more things to figure this out, but I'm guessing we wont end up with a definitive answer.
And yes, I can't help but feel the briefcase is involved. I'll definitely check out sync toy -- thanks for the tip.
