Merged projects: can I suppress search for a project?

We are going to merge a second project into a main one for help and do not want the secondary project to be searchable (it's old information and we only want it accessible by TOC). I know you can suppress search for an individual file, but can you do it for files in batch or for an entire project? Any quick tips on how to suppress search for multiple files?
