Published WebHelp not seeing CSS file
Published WebHelp not seeing CSS file
I have run into a problem that appears to be a bug. I'm using Flare 6 and publishing WebHelp to a Linux-based web server. When I do the WebHelp build with the lower case file names option turned on, the output looks fine on my Windows box. However, when I publish to the Linux web server, the styles are not working (it's not seeing my CSS file). After some extensive research, I believe I've identified the problem. The folder containing the CSS file (resources > stylesheets) uses a lower case r for resources, but the topics are looking for an upper case R. Since Linux is case sensitive, this is a broken link. I was able to fix the issue by turning off the lower case option in the target definition, but this is just a work-around. If Flare is going to build with lower case file names, links in topics need to reflect that as well.

Hi,
I fixed this for our Linux boxes by renaming the Flare "Resources" directory to "resources" (it will let you do this), then recompiled the Help -- everything a beauty...
