We have a consultant coming in to work on some project for a few months. The PC he will use has the latest version 5 software. The rest of us are on version 6. What trouble, if any, will we get into by sharing projects between the two versions? Note that we are not using any of the new version 6 features yet.
Thanks.

Only MadCap support can give you a definite answer to that question.stealth94rt wrote:We have a consultant coming in to work on some project for a few months. You might get away with it as the v5-v6 differences don't appear to be major, at least not that I've noticed at the topic code level.
If you use source control, v6 handles source control quite differently to v5 (e.g. the new source control cache), so there may be issues reporting things like the file check-in/out status.

Thanks very much for the reply. We are not using any built-in source control. We are using just CHM, PDF, and Webhelp targets, variables, and conditionals.
