Toggler Problem
Just upgraded to V6 and need to create a toggler. When I click the paragraph <p> bar in the XML Editor, the text/image is highlighted. When I right-click, I don't get the Name option in the dropdown. I know I can get it from the Format menu, but is there some setting I need to change so that left-clicking the <p> gives the same dropdown of menu items as before? Thanks.
Re: Toggler Problem
No, they removed it from the right-click context menu for some (stupid) reason. Submit a bug report at http://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx asking for that option back.

Re: Toggler Problem
Dead right. I miss that too. Used it so much that I still reach for the right-click.
Did a bug request or RFE get submitted? If not, I'll be happy to do it.

Re: Toggler Problem
Everyone should submit a bug report. The more people who submit the request, the sooner/more likely that MadCap will fix it.Andrew Heard wrote:Did a bug request or RFE get submitted? If not, I'll be happy to do it.

Whoohoo! The Name option is back on the context menu in v7!

Re: Toggler Problem
Another question with regard to the toggler feature: If I have only one named element in the toggler targets grid of the Insert Toggler dialog, I'm unable to select it. To select it, I have to create a "dummy" named element first, then the one I want to select. Since I haven't seen anyone else bring it up, I must be missing something incredibly obvious.
Re: Toggler Problem
In case anyone else bumps into the same problem, I've just exchanged e-mails with MadCap support and learned that, with Windows 7, the system dpi needs to be set at 96 (normal). Here's what to do:
1. Right-click on the desktop.
2. Under Advanced Settings, click the "Make text and other items larger or smaller" hyperlink.
3. Select the "Smaller-100%(default)" radio button.
4. Restart the computer.
Problem solved (although the print is purty dern small for these aging orbs).

Re: Toggler Problem
This to solve the problem where one is unable to select the first named item in a list to activate a toggler? That's plain ridiculous. And I wonder if it's related to the issue where you cannot select the first conditional text item?dwag wrote:In case anyone else bumps into the same problem, I've just exchanged e-mails with MadCap support and learned that, with Windows 7, the system dpi needs to be set at 96 (normal). Re: Toggler Problem
You're preaching to the choir. It's reasonable to assume a connection with the conditional text problem. Anyway, MadCap followed up with an e-mail saying a bug had been submitted on my behalf. In the meantime, rather than fuss with the dpi, I'll muscle through with my original workaround.
