How does Feedback provide data from CHM files?

How does Feedback provide usage data from CHM files?

I understand that no Internet connection = no usage data.

It seems like Feedback would wait until it determines the user is connected and then send the usage data in the background.

Are there any know issues/reported problems with this background functionality?

BTW HOW DO I CANCEL OUT OF A POST? SOMEONE FROM MCAP JUST ANSWERED THIS QUESTION.

Comment: Yes, it will get data from Help installed locally, as long as that end user is connected to the Internet. This is done through AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), which allows Feedback to make web requests from the page to the Feedback Server (as long as there’s an Internet connection) even though the content is stored locally on the machine.

Comment: If WebHelp is installed locally on a user's PC, will we get usage data from that Help system. BTW HOW DOES FB.Explorer get usage data to the FB.Server from Help installed locally?

A moderator can delete posts on your behalf, but as you thoughtfully added the response from Madcap it is useful to leave the post as is for others to view.
