Snippets, Master Pages, Page Layouts, CSSs, etc.
Any interest for a repository for the great tech writers on this board to share their formatting, and structure?

How about a MadCap Exchange?
Re: How about a MadCap Exchange?
I think that would be a great idea. Unfortunately, my formatting and structure is all around proprietary information. I wish we could do Help Files on random stuff and use those for examples (as if we have time for that, lol). I know I'm doing a lot more in the code than I should be.
Re: How about a MadCap Exchange?
It would be a great start if authors (esp. venerated ones) and Madcap could provide items like master page layout template, page layout templates, scripts, tricks and tips; CSS, table styles etc.
Not certain of why it is not done already. good way to network and improve product usability as well.

What you're describing is exactly why the Rochester Flare User Group got started. We meet monthly and we regularly have "tips-n-tricks exchanges" and demonstrations. It's been a wonderful experience sharing expertise among the group. The experts in the group seem to grow in their expertise, and the newbies in the group gradually find themselves getting the hang of Flare. Everyone benefits, and everyone has a great time.
So, my suggestion is that you find other Flare users in your local community and start your own user group. I'd be happy to share organizational ideas with anyone interested in starting their own group. You can reach me at rochesterflaregroup at gmail dot com.

RETIRED, but still fond of all the Flare friends I've made. See you around now and then!

That would be rather Spartan in my area. Hardly anyone around here even knows about it. I am actually using RH but have proposed moving to Flare platform. I have used it the past few years at Lexis, but I am no longer there. A centralized Exchange on here would be a great place to start. I think the repository would be great for not just making things easy, but to spur ideas for both end users and developers. It is a UX method for seeing actually how the Flare product is being utilized. A very loose Usability Study.
