Questions about use of Conditions...

I'm evaluating Flare, and am finding these odd behaviours concering conditions:

1- After importing a FM file that has the conditions, I'm finding that:
a) The conditions become available in the Flare condition selector window, but conditions that were applied to text in FM are not included with the imported text. The conditions have to be re-applied.
b) After applying a conditions from the imported condition set to some text, and then setting the show condition button, ALL conditions, no matter what color they're set with, display as light gray in the document.

2. I can't seem to find a way to hide specified conditioned text from view in the editor. Is showing/hiding of conditions only materialize in the target? Perhaps I'm missing the feature that shows/hides? (I'm used to the way Framemaker works.)

I can't answer the first one, but the second one, yes, the conditional tags only affect the output, although you can get a preview in the Preview window by specifying which view you want to see. By default it will be the view type of whatever you selected as your default target.
