Hi,
we are successfully generating merged webhelp and now want to validate the cross-references we created between subsystems.
Can anyone recommend a link checker that could validate all links in our merged webhelp output, i.e. you point it to the parent folder of our webhelp output and it validates all "<a href"s in all ".htm"s under that folder.
Thanks
Hans

Re: Link checker for merged webhelp
Thanks for the reply Greg,
How do we get it to work for our intranet site?
I enter the site address but it only checks the top level folder, it does not check all the projects in the Subsystem folder.

Re: Link checker for merged webhelp
It was a long time ago when I used it, but I think what I did was to create a topic that links to all the other topics (in Flare I guess you could use a TOC Proxy?), then point xenu to that topic and set it to look 2 levels deep. That way it would check first the links in that topic (which should be valid), and then all links within the topics down a level (which is what you actually want).
This is probably best done on your local PC, so you can then remove the topic before publishing to a 'live' location.
Cheers
