Toolbar buttons have disappeared!

I was playing with the skin for my help project and I have somehow made the toolbar buttons disappear. Any suggestions on how to get them back?

I had been editing colors in the MadCapToc.js file. I had also been editing colors in the Skin editor.

I've seen this before if you include invalid JavaScript in a toolbar button action (in the skin).

I doubt you could break the skin by setting colours in the skin editor, so I'd guess it's the MadCapToc.js file; if you replace it with a backup copy, does it work ok?

I tried that. I used the former file, but I know I have several copies floating around my hard drive, so I'd probably better give it a thorough check. At least you've seen it before!

After replacing the MadCapToc.js file with one I know is good, the toolbar buttons didn't reappear. So I deleted the Skin Support folder in my project, thinking it would be regenerated when I built the project and sure enough it was. But now, my TOC doesn't display in the built project.

I think what I've got is a bit of mess between 4.2 and 5.0. I've been using .js files interchangeably between the two and it isn't working for me.

I've had this happen with Flare 7. I traced it down to the separator and the language skins. If I use a language other than US English and I include the separator in the webhelp toolbar none of the buttons appear.

The workaround is to create a custom button of my own with the same image on it. This works in French and should work everywhere.

Very odd and annoying bug.
