Current board time is incorrect

Post by ccardimon »

The time for Eastern Standard seems an hour off. An hour ahead, to be exact. Or maybe I'm nuts.

You set that in your profile. It doesn't automatically adjust for daylight savings time (which is good if you live in Arizona since they don't follow daylight savings), so you have to manually go in and change it in your profile ("User Control Panel").

I'm having the same issue ... didn't realise Germany's at Greenwich Mean Time now, but that's what I have to select to get the correct board time ...
Still don't believe it ...

Confirmed it: Germany is not on GMT => sth is wrong with board time.

Do you have "Summer Time/DST is in effect:" set to Yes on the Board Preferences tab in the User Control Panel? Don't know if Germany has a Daylight Savings Time, or if they do, if it is currently in effect or not.

Germany currently is GMT + 1 hour, means: the clock of the board is one hour fast ...

The board accounts for DST, but you must manually change the DST setting. That's the point I'm trying to get at. If you still have DST enabled, and Germany is not currently in DST (assuming it ever was), you will now show the board as 1 hour ahead. Disable DST and it will be correct again (assuming that's the problem).

If you're in Germany then you'll get there before those of us in the U.S. If you leave the board set to one hour ahead then you'll get there even earlier. :P

I always pick the clock in my favor to point out that I'm either not too late or that it is time to go home.
