Adding screenshot to topic

Post by dwag »

Without Capture, what's the simplest, quckest way of adding a screenshot to a topic? Thanks.

The PrintScreen button on your keyboard, then paste it into a photo editor (like Photoshop or Paint), save it to your Resources folder in Flare, insert it into a topic.

or Snag-It is pretty easy and you can save it from there (instead of 2 steps for print screen and photoshop).

by the way, i never found Capture very easy to use past just saving a simple image. i've never used any of the advanced features that apparently it's very good at doing.

Thanks for the response, lacastle. Your first suggestion is the way we've been doing it; however, I could've sworn I stumbled upon a quicker way a while back, but now I'm thinking I must've dreamed it.

Thanks, again.

You can try pasting the screen shot straight from the clipboard into Flare, but then you wouldn't be able to prettify it before.

Indeed. Prettifying is key, though. Maybe once upon a time I downloaded a demo of Capture and have lost all recollection. Sorry for the false alarm. Thanks for the response.

I doubt you can do that, since the image would need to exist as a file and I don't think pasting a screenshot into Flare will prompt it to ask you for a save as name for the screenshot. Although I haven't tried it, so maybe when they improved the paste features a few versions back they added that capability.
