Search Feature in Flare?

Hello,
Our CEO has asked me if there happens to be a "search" feature in the Flare software. Several different members of our team submit the content to me which I then copy and paste to build various manuals for our company. If we want to be certain that a certain word is NOT included anywhere in the manual....is there a way to search for that word before building my output?
Thank you,
Robin

Indeed there is! If you press Ctrl - F in Flare, the Find and Replace dialog appears. If you have a topic open, click inside the topic, change the Find What to your word, make sure Find in Source Code checkbox is disabled, change Find In from (current document) to (whole project). Click Find Next, and off you go.

Note that Flare's search feature doesn't search in the glossary, TOC, variable set, target file, etc., unless you first open those files using the Internal Text Editor and set the "Find in" field to (current document). So pretty much any of the files in the Project Organizer accordion can only be searched after opening them in the Internal Text Editor. Even then, sometimes the Find and Replace pane is grayed out, so you have to first switch to a topic to get the pane active again, then switch back to the file that's been opened in the Internal Text Editor.
Or use a different find-and-replace program. Others have recommend a program called FAR HTML (?) that I assume can search through the glossary and other files.

Yes, Far HTML is an excellent, very fast search application. You should be able to have it search either the entire Flare Project folder or just one or more subfolders within the Project folder. Make a ZIP of the project before each search you do -- just in case. But you can check each replacement before you accept it.
