Hello! I imported a Word doc, a long numbered list of fifty-nine procedures interspersed with illustrations and tables. The numbered list was hosed after import, so I removed all images and tables, deleted the existing messed up braketed numbers, and renumbered the list. I then began reinserting the graphics and paragraphs successfully by inserting paragraph items where needed in the numbered list and then pasting the images and tables at those locations. It worked fine UNTIL item 33 (near the bottom of a page). I had inserted a paragraph item (as I did before in the list), but pasting the table or even just hitting return causes all the following list items to completely disappear. List items before this point remain. I tried "protecting" the disappearing items by inserting by creating a page break class, but it doesn't keep the items from disappearing no matter what I do.
Any clues? Thanks!!!!

Re: Numbered list items disappearing
Further clarfication: Seems that the only list items that disappear are the ones on the next page (or are "pushed" to the next page) after the table is pasted (or a return is applied) in between list items. Thanks!!!
Re: Numbered list items disappearing
I sometimes have an error where the XML viewer thinks it has lost content (not being able to see it), and i'm not sure why it happens.
Sometimes i can toggle my viewer in between print mode and pdf mode and sometimes the "lost" items will come back and sometimes they will not (this doesn't mean that they are not in there).
Another option would be to open the file in with the internal text editor (xml code) and see if the content is still there. Chances are if you added the content, it wouldn't be removed by simply hitting return or pasting a table. However, if your not familiar with the code, i wouldn't worry about it too much cause it can give headaches.
If toggling the web / print viewer doesn't work and you do not check the code, try a test build, just to see if the viewer is the error.

Any resolution to this? Did someone contact MadCap or submit a bug?
