Question about Include/Exclude Files in Project Import Edito

Post by Suzetteb »

I set up a master or global project that we are linking all of our other projects to. This master project contains style sheets, page layouts, variables, snippets, etc. I've created a template project that contains all of this linking information. I'm at the point where I need to update the Include Files section, but when I click Edit there is no way to see what my previous settings were. This is a bit frustrating because I think I now have to enter them all again...

I'd like to understand this better and whether it is working like it should or if it should be holding all my file type / pattern information in the Import File Filter.

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do. Did you link all of the "kids" to the "parent" files so that whenever the stylesheets, master pages, ect are updated, the "kids" all get updated on a new build?

Sorry, please explain further. Thanks.

In the template project, does the import file (linked to the master) show anything in the Include files box?
It should normally show the filename extensions you've selected; e.g. in the format *.png; *.jpg; *.flmsp; *.flskn...

If you click Edit, it should display the same extensions in a list.
If you then click Add, when you then select more extensions, it doesn't indicate what you've already got selected - is that the problem?
