Hi - suspect there is a simpler way to do this but learning css as I go
For my Notes I have a div with a border containing a span to display the word Note over an image. The span intersects the border around the div.
This works fine:

except that, when scrolling, the span displays over the header with the div displaying underneath:

What am I doing wrong? Users all use IE, including IE6

Re: Image in note div displaying over non-scrolling header
One thing to try out - put the non-scrolling region on a higher 'layer', using the z-index property (e.g. set it above 1).

Re: Image in note div displaying over non-scrolling header
Half way there - have added a z-index (thank you) of 1 to both h1.ns - my non-scrolling header - and to the breadcrumbs proxy. Span now goes under the header but still over the breadcrumbs.
If I increase the z-index on the breadcrumbs to 2, both span and div disappear under the whole non-scrolling region in Firefox but not in IE.
Confusingly, it all works in Flare's preview so not sure what it uses.

At w3school it says that you can only use z-index on positioned elements - could that be the cause? Did you specify a position for the breadcrumb proxy?

Both the breadcrumbs and the non-scrolling header are fixed

Re: Image in note div displaying over non-scrolling header
Hello - did you ever find a solution. Same thing is happening to us.
Re: Image in note div displaying over non-scrolling header
Nope - no solution at present. Have had to leave it to meet new release deadline at present. If I get to the bottom of it before anyone else will post to this thread. Can't be a setting on the image itself can it?

Re: Image in note div displaying over non-scrolling header
I had a similar problem - all my images appeared in front of the non-scrolling region. The z-index feature didn't work quite as expected either. I found that the Flare v6.1 CSS editor attached units to the z-index, which caused it to not work properly. I deleted the units in a text editor and now everything works as expected.
Is Flare adding units (e.g., px) to your z-index values?

Re: Image in note div displaying over non-scrolling header
Unfortunately no units have been added (sigh).
