Yellow Flag and Green Square artifacts

When I record a Mimic movie, I am pressing Print Screen to make sure I get everything I need. This method is working well enough, except some artifacts seem to be appearing. In frames where I pressed Print Screen, I sometimes see a yellow flag and a green square.

Any suggestions on avoiding these artifacts in the first place, other than not pressing Print Screen?
