Glossary: How to do conditional entries?

Post by samjones6 »

Using Flare 6.1

I build to several targets, with a lot of exclusions, conditional text and images.

The question is: How do I do conditionality for Glossary entries?

Thanks!!

It appears that conditionality can cover the whole glossary, but not individual entries.... correct?

You can have multiple glossaries, though, although I've never done it myself, so I don't know if in the finished product all the glossary terms are listed alphabetically or if they list terms from GlossaryA, then terms from GlossaryB, etc. If it's the former, then you could create multiple glossaries and specify which glossaries to include in the target. So TargetA may include just GlossaryA, but TargetB may include GlossaryA and GlossaryB.

I have two glossaries for this reason and they publish as one glossary when they are both included. At least in WebHelp.

In HTML Help, too.
