I tried unchecking "Auto Play" in the Edit Multimedia options. The SWF still plays as soon as I open the Webhelp topic. I looked in the source code and I'm seeing "MadCap: Param_play="false"" in the object tag. Anyone know how to get this to stop playing? I need to wait for the user to click the play button.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Can't turn off Auto Play for SWF
Solved. The ActionScript for the transport controls in Flash needed to be updated, with autoplay turned off.

If I turn off Autoplay for SWF, video no longer shows
Hi,
I need to embed an SWF file in my WebHelp, using Flare V. 9. I managed successfully, but it plays automatically as soon as the page is loaded. This is obviously going to annoy the heck out of users, so I thought I could just uncheck 'Autoplay' in the Multimedia settings. The problem then is that, if the video didn't have a border round it, you'd never know it was there! There is no video type outline and no play arrow over the centre of it.
I should add that I have conditioned the video to display just in screen output (if this makes a difference).
Is this a known issue, or is there an extra step I need to take to make the video appear but not 'autoplay'?
Thanks.
Regards.

Re: Can't turn off Auto Play for SWF
Does anyone know how I can switch off autoplay for embedded Flash videos in Flare WebHelp? Clearly the html (play="false" / param name ="play" value="false") doesn't make any difference.
I am creating my SWF files using Mimic.
Apparently, Flash has an ActionScript which can control autoplay, but the output from Mimic is already compiled, so I don't see a way to edit the ActionScript.

Re: Can't turn off Auto Play for SWF
Has anyone got a solution for this?
I'm creating the file in Mimic, looks great but the auto play is won't disengage when I click the box. Rather annoying as this is a feature we would like to have in the new WebHelp for our system.
any help would be appreciated.
