Typing input options

Post by todd.richardson »

Hello,

I'm working on a Mimic movie that contains a frame with text box. I would like to give the user the option to enter the text in this box manually, or allow the movie to do it for them. I recorded the movie/frame in Automatic mode with the "Typing object" option selected. Currently, I can have the movie type the text for the user, but I can't figure out how to allow the user to type it themselves. How is this done?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What would be the purpose of the user typing it keeping in mind that Mimic has (currently) zero eLearning capabilities. The user could type "hot dog" into the field or "a'; DROP TABLE User" or nothing at all. Since there is nothing that checks the input in any way it is rather useless.
I fully understand why you'd want to the user to be able to enter something in, but without having some decision and evaluation paired with it the whole thing would be of no use.

Ramon,

I guess that makes my question moot, then. Thanks for the info.
