Use a variable in a PDF Target file name? How? (v6.1)

Hi!

Variables rock....

Can I use them everywhere? Like in a target as part of the target output file name?

Do I just throw in: mcvariable:VariableSet.VariableName

or need I enclose it in %% or something?

E.g. what I want is:

WidgetHelp_v11.pdf

Can I do this:

WidgetHelp_vmcvariable:MyVariables.Majorversion.pdf ?

FYI, Madcap support indicates that this is not possible in either 6.1 or 7.0....
