After using Analyzer to find some errors, and then doing a search replace in the whole project, the fixes appeared to work, but after a search for changed files, only the opened ones registered as having changes made to them.
Is this a known issue?
I would think the replace all code does not compensate for source control.

I don't have an answer for you, but rather am interested in what you learn. I've not had to source control my Flare work yet, but will be doing so within the next month.
I realize you didn't get a reply here on the forums (maybe post it instead in the Source Control forum rather than the Analyzer forum?), but I'm curious what further insights / issues you continue to see. Hopefully, too, my little reply will give your post the bump it needs to get someone else's attention...

Whenever I do a projectwide Find&Replace I have to check all those files out ...
This is how I do it:
1. CTRL + F
2. enter "find" text
3. enter "replace" text
4. chose "(whole project)"
5. press "Start"
6. press "Replace in All Files"
7. press "OK" (question: Do I want to leave all files open?)
8. ... ... 50-or-so files are opened and processed
9. press "OK" (question: Do I want to save and close all files?)
10. ... ... Flare checks out all files and saves and closes them => goes on at 8 ...

So Inge, you are doing this in a Flare project that is under source control? Say you've checked only 10 topics out of source control. Now you do a Find-and-Replace-All operation in the whole project. Does Flare manage the check-in/check-out of all the other topics automatically as part of the Replace-All operation? I think what Rich is observing is that the change "sticks" in only the set of topics he's check out of source control, but not in the whole project. Rich, am I understanding your problem correctly?

Yep. Works like a charm (as described above).

The only difference in our procedure is in the OK to leaving the files open.
I chose NO because I am going through 4000+ topics and could easily open 500 of them.
I would then guess it is in the leaving open procedure that unlocks the files.

The opened files would be a result of the files that are getting the global change. (I would think)
This could be every topic file, depending on the global change.

Ah, yes - let me rephrase that: Don't know what influences the number of files per package ...
Of course the total number is the total numbe rof processed files.
