Strange video artifacts

Post by Ineffable »

I have a new issue, which just cropped up with Flare 7. To set the baseline, my system hasn't changed one bit from when it ran v6 without this issue.

What happens is that the tabs in my Project toolbar start disappearing. They do, however, reappear when my mouse pointer hovers over them (or, where they were). As I move the pointer down the row of invisible tabs, they all reappear.

Are you sure that it is exactly the same system? I'm wondering if a new graphics card driver might have slipped in. A long shot is to reinstall the .NET runtime. Seems to be a fix for all kinds of problems. Not sure if it will help here, but it might not hurt aside from taking way too much time (as with installing anything from Microsoft).

I've had small video issues in Flare v7.0.x as well. Including a disappearing scroll bar specifically for the Content Explorer and typing delay every 20 characters or so.

New graphics drivers didn't do anything.

No new graphics drivers/cards. But it could also have to do with the fact that v7 is a lot more resource intensive than v6. It's considerably slower for me.

Yeah I have noticed the same since 7.1.
If I select to close all tabs expect one, they all close, but the tab graphic is still displayed until I click the active tab again, or switching between code view and normal layout view messes it up.

No new video drivers here either....
