Background:The specified table does not exist. [ FileTag ]
I get this message (Background:The specified table does not exist. [ FileTag ]) whenever I open one of my projects. Not sure what it means or how to make it go away. It doesn't seem to prevent the help from compiling, but it is concerning. At least a little.

Do you have a specific topic that always opens when you open that project? For example, I always leave the TOC Editor and the Stylesheet Editor in tabs in the XML Editor when I close projects so they'll be there when I re-open the project. I sometimes do the same with a topic if I know I'm going to be editing that topic soon or as a reminder that I need to complete some of the info in that topic. If that's the case with you -- if you have a topic that's already docked in a tab when you open the project -- then open the Internal Text Editor and see if there's anything odd about the topic code. Likewise, check the code for the masterpage the topic is pointing to, if one exists.

Hi there and thanks for your ideas.
I tried it with just the TOC open and I got the same message. I closed the TOC and tried it again and got the same message.
Any other suggestions?

Try resetting the window layout (under the Windows menu). I doubt that's it since I would expect the error to be thrown for every project, but it's one thing more to eliminate.

I did that, but it didn't fix the problem. Just don't know where the message originates. Strange.

You know, I wonder if FileTag is referring to the new File Tag feature? I haven't used it myself, but you can find out more about it in the Flare Help (Features > File Tagging > Associating Tags with Files). Perhaps whatever mechanism or file that supports that feature got corrupted in that project. Do you remember if you played with that feature in that project?

Never played with that feature.
I just checked my files for signs of anything associated with that feature and the File Tag tab is blank all around.
