Problem using Page Layout

I have created my first page layout. Hate to say it, but I have been uinsg Master Pages all along and am not familiar with Page Layouts. Not sure how I missed this topic. Anyway, I created a page layout and assigned it to my printed project target on the General tab. On the advanced tab, I disabled the Master Pages for Word output.

The problem is that when I generate the target and open it in Word, I still see the Master page and no sign of the Page Layout

I do get a warning during compile that says: "Page Layout and Master Page both set for the upcoming chapter. The Page Layout will be used."

Am I doing something wrong?

Where are you disabling the MasterPage? I don't use one, but it sounds like it's looking in the TOC properties since the error says "chapter".
