At last!
The new version of Flare (v7.1) now has an option to automatically embed images into the generated Word document - works fine!

Works fine, except that it ignores any Print Size attributes.

Re: Embedding images in Word
If you have resizing applied I think you need to have the option "Generate resized images ..." also set. This checkbox is on the same Advanced tab of the target.

I have a word macro that fixes this ( i posted it a little while ago), as long as your size is a global setting of sorts. eg images above 300px wide or something. Also means word resizes the images so the quality is much much better.

Re: Embedding images in Word
@Margaret
I have avoided the Generate resized images option for a while as I found (when I first tried it) that the images it produced were of a rather poor quality compared those produced by Word itself. I'll give it another look. Thanks for reminding me.
@Nick
Until now, I have been using a macro too. I had hoped I would be able to abandon it.
