Saving Help Favorites
I upgraded to the latest version of Flare and lost all my saved Help Favorites, as usual. This happens every time. I have certain "go to" topics that I have to remember and then re-bookmark every time.Is there any way to preserve these across Flare upgrades?

Re: Saving Help Favorites
Do you mean you upgraded from v6 to v7, or you upgraded from v7 to v7.1? If it's the former, it's understandable since you actually installed into a different program folder. If it's the latter, then I guess I'm surprised since it would have installed over the previous v7, but perhaps it actually uninstalled v7 and installed v7.1 instead. You could certainly submit a bug report at http://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx, although make sure you point out that it's the Flare help you're having a problem with, not an output you created.

I went from 7.0 to 7.1. This happens with every upgrade. Help Favorites vanish. I never knew they were not supposed to.

It's one of those things that *should* have been stored in the registry (in fact, I'd be kind of surprised if they weren't...), and then simply read from subsequent versions.ccardimon wrote:I went from 7.0 to 7.1. They never have been. At least not on my system.Andrew wrote:It's one of those things that *should* have been stored in the registry (in fact, I'd be kind of surprised if they weren't...), and then simply read from subsequent versions.
