TOC Style Help

Post by Pamb10 »

Well, I guess its not only the TOC, but in the accordian blocks, when I have a topic selected, it shows, for example, in the TOC as white font with light grey background and its hard to read. Where can I change the colors for this? I couldnt seem to find the right style to change.

Thanks.

Thanks for the help Laura. Really good to know info but it does not really cover what I need.

I need to change the selected font color. The KB article shows how to change the hover over color.

Any idea where to find the selected color?

Open the skin, select the Styles tab, and select the TOCEntry item.

You can change the font and background of this item.
You can also create your own classes so you can have a different look and icons for different types of entries. We use this to highlight PDF files, etc.

That set of styles doesnt have a section for the "selected" TOC entry. Thanks for the help.

You have to modify the selected entry the same way you do the hover. If you open the generated JavaScript file and search on "selected" I think you'll find a few styles with that in the name (depending on whether or not you have the option to combine all JS files enabled), but one of them has TOC or something like that in the name. It should be roughly in the same area as the style for the hover.

Note that it won't work exactly correctly, I don't think. I can't remember what happens, but I think it doesn't reset after it's selected or maybe it resets after you hover over it again instead of remaining selected while you're on the page. I can't remember exactly what happens, so it won't work exactly as you want but it will be closer, perhaps close enough for what you want.
