Size/Positioning Difficulty

Post by twizforpros »

Hello:

Flare 7.1, using the Destination editor to set a fixed browser window size at launch (all four arrows greyed out, Use Default Browser box cleared), seems to have no effect. An older post mentions deleting the Output folder to convince the browser that it should do a total reload. I can't do that (someone else has to load all the files to SharePoint initially else Publish fails when a ~.js file is encountered), but I can see the items in the the Content folder and they have all been refreshed, plus I deleted browsing history. At launch, the window always opens an full screen size. Are there other settings I should be diddling with? Thanks.

Try opening the output on another computer, one you haven't viewed it on yet, and see if it's still a problem. And try it on other browsers, if you can. If it works on the other computers and/or other browsers, then it could be a setting in your browser that's causing it to not allow the window to be resized.

I think you meant Skin Editor?

Also, I'm pretty sure that browser size/position is possible only when opening the WebHelp with a CSH URL, or a JavaScript call.

Thanks, Paul and Lisa. I now remember seeing something about the CSH angle. Thanks again.
