Copy images using External Resources with .props files

Post by DocuWil »

The last time I create webtraining next to webhelp in different projects.
I create the images with Capture.
I do use the images in training as well as webhelp.
When I first create the webhelp and then the training (or vice versa) I use External Resources to copy the images but without keeping them synchronized.
Why?
I don't want to have the same extras (bubbles, arrows, etc.) in both projects.
But what happens is that the images are copied without the corresponding .props files. However, these extras are displayed within the images and I cannot change that unless I copy the images with the corresponding .props files to the other project outside flare.

I tend to create a feature request to copy the .props files together with the images using External Resources.
What is your opinion?

I thought you could apply conditions to the bubbles and such in the graphic in Capture. If that's the case, then you keep the props file in the project but you use conditions to keep elements from showing up in certain outputs.

Thanks Lisa,

Yes, I am aware of an do use that now and then.
But it are different projects in this case and I cannot put it in one project, because the training project has a lot of different stuff from other projects.
