rigth indexing a piece of text

Post by Sharpras »

In my footer, I want the company name to be centered. Is there a way to right-index the page number (for right pages) on the same line? I tried using the right-float text box, but it goes to the next line.

example: |_ MyCompanyName.com -29- _|

This is for PDF output. Flare 7.1, Windows7, Latitude: 47.6063889

Any help appreciated?

I did it by using a single row table with borders.
In the cells you can set the alignment.
In the page layout you can distinguish left - right.

Footers (and headers) are easily managed using tables.

I normally use a 3 column table, set to 100% width. Each of the outside (left and right) columns are set at 33%, the middle column has auto width.

The left cell/ column is left justified, the centre is center justified, and the right is right justified. Turn off the table borders, although using the top border on the footer or bottom border on a header is a method to create the ruled line seperating headers and footers from content.
