We've gotten a report that automatic resizing the webhelp window is not working in IE 9. We don't have a lot of experience with that since the browser is only available for Vista and Windows 7 and Windows 7 computer are just making their way into the company.
Is this a bug or could there be another cause? All thoughts welcome.

Re: resizing help window with ie 9
It seems to work fine in IE9 for me.
How are they opening the help?
If you open the help file directly from Windows, then it will not resize the browser window. The browser window will only be resized when the help is opened from something else, e.g. using a CSH link from another browser page or application.

Re: resizing help window with ie 9
A lot depends on the IE settings, which can be different from PC to PC. As far as form, shape, and size goes you cannot count on it to be the way you expect to be allowed to make it that way. My guess a script is not executed or fails for some reason, which causes the window to come up in a less then useful state.

Re: resizing help window with ie 9
We have confirmation that the window resizes correctly in Firefox on the same machine. So it is probably a browser setting or a bunch of browser settings. We will investigate further. Thanks for the info on this.
