I have just upgraded a few of my users to MadCap Flare v7.20 and now at least one of them is getting the "Failed to run command "insert".
Th customes descripton of the problem is "when I try to edit a page in the flare project, I get the error, after every key stroke. This occurs for every page that is edited."
I did do a search and saw one other posting for this isse but did not see a resolution.

Have him reinstall .NET and see if that fixes the issue.

Re: Failed to run command "insert"
I uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft .Net Framework sp1 and it did not resolve the issue. I also tried uninstalling MadCap Flare along with all the patches. I removed all the registry entries and all entires found under All Program and in all profiles. I then reinstalled all products manually. I was deploying them as a package previously. The error message still occurs.
Any ideas?

Don't forget dotNET 2 and 3 (3.5)...

Re: Failed to run command "insert"
I haven't seen any solution on this forum; I'd suggest contacting MadCap support, they're usually pretty good.
Re: Failed to run command "insert"
Hi,
I have also experienced this problem when I upgraded to Flare v7.2. As long as you are using the latest updates for your version of Windows (I'm currently using XP) and have Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed, the following solution worked for me:
1) Go to the Tools menu
2) Select Options
3) Go to the Auto Suggestion tab
4) Make sure that Enable Auto Suggestion is not ticked
5) Click the OK button to confirm the change
This should resolve the problem.
Hope this helps!
