Project Organizer keyboard shortcut on non-US keyboards

Post by techwriterkai »

Hi, I'm getting into keyboard shortcuts in a big way and find them really helpful to speed up my work in Flare.

But I can't figure out how the shortcut for the Project Organizer works on non-US keyboards. It's supposed to be Ctrl+[. On my German keyboard [ is AltGr+8. But Ctrl+AltGr+8 doesn't work... Any ideas?

Hi Kai,

I don't have an answer to your question but I wanted to welcome you to the Flare boards! I met you in Oxford at the tech comm conference. :D I'm sure someone will be along soon to shed some light on the keyboard shortcuts - I really should use them more!

It doesn't work. I use ALT+V (menu "View") followed P (item "Project Organizer") ...

Other alternative (not quicker) - at least on my computer: Switch the keyboard to US with ALT+SHIFT, use the shortcut and switch the keyboard back by ALT+SHIFT ...

@i-tietz: Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, there's always the menu navigation using the Alt keys, but I find them a bit "vague": The relevant letters are not shown as underscore or similar, so I'm not always sure I hit the right key...

@helen: Aww, thanks. How cool to meet someone from TCUK here! :-)

?
If I hit the ALT key (and release it again), I get underscores in menues ... I believe there's a Windows setting somewhere that switches that on/off ...
