Hi there,
I am wondering, does anybody know why the build process does not list that the created CSS for WORD output is being processed, as is listed for output CHM and PDF?
I worked hard to create a nice CSS and now it looks like it was all for nothing ... meaning I just could have used the default CSS I created for the CHM output. Would have been a real time saver...

do you have the appropriate style medium set in your Word target properties? are the correct styles showing up in the Word doc, but you just don't see them in the build process log?

Re: Build process does not list processing CSS for target Word
Hi,
The target for CHM, PDF and Word each uses an own TOC, and own CSS. As well the TOC as the CSS are exactly the same for each target. For the CHM the medium is set to default, for the PDF and for Word the medium is set to print.
In the results of the build process, for the CHM is listed:
Processing source files...
Processing CSS: Resources\Stylesheets\TEST_PageWithHeader_CHM_Stylesheet.css...
Processing CSS: Resources\Stylesheets\TEST_PageWithHeader_PDF_Stylesheet.css...
Processing CSS: Resources\Stylesheets\TEST_PageWithHeader_WORD_Stylesheet.css...
Generating output files...
For the PDF is listed:
Processing source files...
Processing topic: Topic.htm
Processing CSS: Resources\Stylesheets\TEST_PageWithHeader_PDF_Stylesheet.css...
Linking cross-references...
For target Word is listed:
Collecting source files...
Processing source files...
Processing topic: Topic.htm
Generating Index...
Generating final output...
The generated output looks identical for all 3 targets.

Re: Build process does not list processing CSS for target Word
have you set the specific master stylesheet in each target properties page, or is it set to default?
and on a side note, you don't have to have separate stylesheets for each target. you can just create print-Word, print-PDF, and online mediums in one standard stylesheet. then you might not have this problem if you are careful to set each target to have a specific medium.

Re: Build process does not list processing CSS for target Word
Hi,
Yes, I have selected the created TOC and styleheet in the Target Editor and set the correct output type for each target.
It is not really a problem. I just prefer to have a seperate stylesheet for each target. I was just wondering why the build process does not list the processing of the WORD stylesheet as it does for the stylesheets created for PDF and CHM. Now it feels like the stylesheet is not used at all for WORD. The generated WORD doc(x) is OK.
The other way around, if building CHM output, the listing is
Processing source files...
Processing CSS: Resources\Stylesheets\Project1_CHM_Stylesheet.css...
Processing CSS: Resources\Stylesheets\Project1_PDF_Stylesheet.css...
Processing CSS: Resources\Stylesheets\Project1_WORD_Stylesheet.css...
Generating output files...
so now it looks like the CHM output is using all 3 stylesheets. Expected the CHM stylesheet should be enough...
Greeting, Rene Severens

Re: Build process does not list processing CSS for target Word
I don't think this is anything to worry about, as those messages are the same in my projects.
The "processing CSS" message only seems to appear for targets which create a CSS file as part of their build process. You'll see it for any help outputs, and also for a PDF target as that includes CSS files in the temporary files used to generate the PDF. By comparison, the Word target doesn't appear to use CSS files in its temporary build files.
Also, all of your CSS files will be included in your HTML Help CHM file, as by default, Flare will include every single file in your Content folder. However, that doesn't mean they're actually used (linked to) by any topics. If you don't want to include them, then you need to exclude them by either using a condition, or by using the target setting to Exclude content not linked... (new in v7.2).
