Hi all, long time reader first time typer of questions.
So I have set up a few lovely image maps that are working brilliantly, but then when I added a further one, for some reason when I click Image Map... the image appears all stretched, and when I place map-shapes they are not in exactly the right place when I build the output.
As a sort of supplementary question while I have your attention (thanks, by the way) I also wondered whether there is a way to show the map-shapes on the image maps... I think this would be easier for my users so they know where to click. Is this possible with drawing the lines manually? Something like when you select "fill shapes" in the image map but actually for the created output...
Thank you very much for any help you can!
Adios.

Re: images appearing stretched in image map view
Hi,
Many time asker, first time attempter at answering the question...
It sounds like a stylesheet has been applied to that image, to override/define the width and appearence of it - could you check whether 'style class' has been applied for that image? That could explain its unusual appearance.
Remember the stylesheet picked by the Primary Target is the one that will appear on the xml editor, which could also affect how it appears, depending on which target you have recently chosen as primary.
Can't answer the 'map-shapes on the image maps' question, agree it would be useful...
Hope that helps.

Re: images appearing stretched in image map view
Many time answerer.
As for the hotspot borders, they're defined using the <area> tag, so theoretically you could specify a border on the area tag to have your hotspots show up. (I say theoretically because I've never tried it.) I recommend a dashed border instead of a solid line to differentiate it from the natural borders in the image, if there are any.
It would also happen if you modified the base img tag. Including if you set min-width or min-height.owilkes wrote:It sounds like a stylesheet has been applied to that image, to override/define the width and appearence of it - could you check whether 'style class' has been applied for that image?
