Hello,
I am trying to put a table within a column of an existing table. It works, kind of. The problem arises when I want to apply a different style to the inner table. The table does not pick up the style I need it to. It seems to work online but I have only looked at one incidence of such a table, and besides, it is for printed output (pdf) that I really need to be able to do this.
I am using two different table stylesheets generated by Flare and these are quite confusing to work with. I have just about got it working within flare with a bit of a workaround but something different happens when I generate the output.
Any ideas?
Thanks all,
H

Re: tables within tables
This may or may not be helpful...
I would open the topic in a text editor. My choice would be something external from Flare, such as notepad+.
Next I would start indenting the code relating to the tables using the tab key, that will make it easier to read.
Once I've made the code easier to read I'd be checking the styles relating to the imbedded table to see if I can see anything strange, such as a reference to a print style (if it works online they may be something calling for a print style), or inline formatting.
Tables can be a pain in the bum in any form, except possibly Excel.

Thanks Steve. I shall have a look... All made a bit more complex by the naming conventions for all the different columns, rows etc. :S
