Start Over -- New Stylesheet

Post by Ineffable »

What would be the best way to ditch my current stylesheet and start over with a fresh one?

Should I simply delete the one that's currently in the /stylesheets folder and then create a new one, or is there a better method?

Thanks for your input.

You can open the stylesheet in the Internal Text Editor and just delete everything in it to literally be starting from scratch.

If you want to get back to Flare's base stylesheet, then the easiest thing would be to create a test project and just copy its stylesheet over to the current project.

Gets my vote...
That way you don't have to worry about links within the project. :D

Are there any CSS editors out there that could help in building up a new stylesheet? How, for example, would I correct reference the classes/IDs currently used in my topics if I were to rewrite by hand? - Thanks!

If you want to "reference the classes/IDs currently used in my topics," why would you "start fresh"?

You might want to generate a report on Unused Styles before you go blowing away everything in the style sheet. Then make some informed choices.

Good luck,
